The market bounced back with 262 residential properties sold in February compared to 143 in January. Days to sell was reduced to 34 with demand exceeding supply and a rising median sale price of $500K in February – up $5K on January and $61K up year on year.
Auctions are still the stars – accounting for a Harcourts clearance rate of 89% for the 12-month period ending January 2017. Prominent exposure and effective marketing campaigns drive this method of sale to be preferred by vendors.
Buyer inquiry continues and pose an opportunity to property owners thinking of coming to the market before the colder weather sets in.
